How to tips to get your closet organized

Hold your own fashion show

If it doesn't fit or is out of season...toss it! Try on each garment you are unsure of in front of a full-length mirror. If that still dosen't cut it, bring in a friend to help. Does it fit? With what outfits and on what occasions will you wear it? Does it need mending? Will you ever be able to get out that ink stain? Separate pieces into four piles: keep, mend, donate, throw away.

Here is a good tool

•Clothes that stay in the closet – Items used regularly
•Off season clothes – Winter in the summer, summer in the winter, and holiday
•Things to be donated – items in good condition that haven’t been used in six months to a year,
•Trash – items that are torn, ripped, stained, shrunken, or otherwise not worthy of anyone's closet space.

Sort It
Spool thread holder is a great way to hang your accessories!
You can get these at any local craft store and can be painted any color of choice.

Toss It
Mismatched Hangers and their irregular shapes take up more space, and the wire ones that dry cleaners use are hard on your clothes. Not to mention the fact they are just not flattering in any closet.

Container It
Containers lots & lots of containers! Use labeled, see-through, or otherwise easy-to-scan boxes and bins to hold accessories (e.g., scarves, belts, hats) We like the containerstore.com

Ziploc it
store swimwear and lingerie sets in baggies. Make sure all air is out to allow maxium drawer space.

Boldness and bravery are necessary...we know! Now that you have new found room, stock up on these adorable New Arrivals at www.shopirock.com.
